DON'T BECOME A VICTIM AGAIN!!

Our hearts and prayers go out to all the individual families that have been affected by the recent storm damage in Central Illinois.  We at the BNAHBA would like to offer you any assistance we can in choosing a remodelor, builder, roofer, etc. that will be reliable and professional.  We would like to offer the following advice:

1.  Stay Calm.  Once the dust settles, it's important for you to be strong and lead your family through this difficult time.  Seek out support from friends and neighbors as soon as possible.  Don't make rash decisions under pressure.

2.  Contact your insurance company BEFORE you hire any contractor.  Most agencies have a claim center that can be contacted 24/7.  Seek out help with your next steps from them.  NEVER sign a contract for work from a company that approaches you after the incident without checking references.  Be sure they are licensed, local, reputable and never pay anything up front until you are 100% sure they are there to help and not deceive.  We at the BNAHBA can help you make a selection that you will be safe and secure with.  You can call us for a list of reputable people that can help you put your life back together.  (309) 663-6612.

3.   Never, ever pay cash.  There are so many FLY-BY-NIGHT contractors that come from all over looking to scam you.  Make sure they have a permanent business address and a good reputation.  Insist on a complete and clearly written contract.  Ask for references and call the BNAHBA for a list of reliable contractors at (309) 663-6612.  We are here to help you in any way we can!
